Deleted a new entry. Starting anew. Less "I" statements this time.
No more Sex & the City. No more A Shot at Love... No more celebrity gossip. No more talking about my hair. How about we talk about how the Beijing 2008 Olympics opening night paired cutesy children with soldiers? Or the latest scandal- how the adorable child singer lip synced through an entire anthem because the child that was originally supposed to perform was deemed "not cute enough" for television. Which does give good evidence to Tammy's theory that the 50 children that were supposed to represent the minority groups of China were probably all Han children dressed in various costumes. China, we know you're under a lot of pressure to put on a show given all the attention you've been getting (it's this little place called Tibet, have you heard of it?), but doing swapsies with prepubescents just to maintain that you've got the cutest little Chinese girl possible is like introducing your family to the world for the first time, and telling your daughter to sit in her room with her dinner because she's inappropriate for first impressions.
I forget sometimes why people make such a big fuss about the Olympics. I only watch it for moments like when Bush holds up the American flag backwards.
